Biography
Adeel Afzal is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng., M.Eng.) and Project Management Professional (PMP) with more than 30 years of experience delivering transmission and distribution projects across North America, Australia, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and South America. He specializes in high-voltage AC and DC transmission systems, with expertise spanning overhead transmission lines, substations, submarine cables, and underground cable projects.
Throughout his career, Adeel has led projects ranging from feasibility studies and detailed design through EPC execution, construction, and owner’s engineering services. His experience includes greenfield and brownfield developments, system upgrades, regional interconnections, generation and mining connections, and major infrastructure crossings. He is also passionate about mentoring engineers, supporting business development, and helping clients deliver reliable, future-ready energy infrastructure solutions.
