Biography

Mark has over fourteen years of experience working in management, business development, marketing, and communications. He has managed research and programs to transfer skills from regulated occupations into unregulated occupations while minimizing jobseeker retraining. He has led labor market intelligence studies, publishing information and recommendations for Canada’s electricity and renewable energy industry.   

Mark’s previous work has taken him to Taiwan, sub-Saharan Africa, and across Canada. He worked in the international development, education, and web industries before settling in not-for-profit management.    

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in government from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, and a master’s in human security and peacebuilding from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. In his spare time, Mark volunteers with organizations such as the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
