Biography

Raj is a project manager and senior civil-structural engineer. He has been the engineering and office manager for Hatch in Winnipeg, and a structural discipline lead. He has more than twenty-five years of experience in engineering, construction, and project management.  

Raj’s experience includes conceptual studies, preliminary feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed planning with structural design and specifications for hydraulic structures such as spillways, dams, control structures, powerhouses, generating stations and diversion structures, mining, and industrial projects. He is also involved in hazard and operability study analysis, qualitative based assessments, and the development of potential failure modes and effects analysis of hydraulic structures. 

Raj is currently the project manager for the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project, a P3 project in which Hatch is in a joint venture with COWI and completing the detailed design for ASN Constructors. He was the powerhouse design lead for the $8.7 billion Keeyask generating station, and the Forrest Kerr generating station project, both of which have won American Council of Engineering awards for excellence.
