Biography

Steven is a hydrotechnical engineer and project manager with over thirteen years of experience in water resources projects related to hydrology and hydraulics. He has experience in several areas, including physically based and statistical hydrology, hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, climate change, hydraulic design of culverts and safety booms, dam safety, and inflow forecasting.  

As the hydrotechnical deputy design manager on the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project, Steven is leading the team of hydraulic and hydrologic engineers. Hydraulic elements of the project include the diversion channel, bridge opening and riprap sizing, drain inlet and river inlet structures, and two aqueducts that consist of two separate structures each. Steven coordinated the hydraulic design efforts as a key part of the project’s overall design and conducted a senior review of the deliverables and calculations performed by the hydraulic engineering team.
